Originated in 1982, CHRISTMAS AT THE PALACE is a favorite holiday tradition for many families. This year's Palace Production of CHRISTMAS AT THE PALACE follows the story line "Across the USA and Home Again" and includes over 300 community members.
Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the unruly elf Sassy are back again with a bag full of big laughs for audience members. Patrons will also enjoy tender moments and enchanting holiday numbers that represent the West Coast , East Coast, the deep South and the North before coming “back home again.”
Instrumental numbers by Marion Concert Band and "The Yule Pit" directed by George Schram will fill the auditorium with Christmas favorites. Edye Cook Dance Company, Martha Douce Dancers, Diverse Moves dance students, adult tap lines "Tap Cats" and "Prominent Men" and show choirs from Elgin and Harding will take the stage with large group dance and vocal performances. Adding to the holiday cheer are vocal numbers by Marion native and Broadway veteran, Ryan J Ratliff, local church choirs, the adorable children’s Cherub Choir and a cappella groups 4 The Record and NINE.
