Since their formation in New York City in the early ‘70s, the quartet is widely renowned for broadening the musical landscape with their innovative, genre defying sound. The Platinum-selling jazz/pop group has won 10 Grammy Awards and earned 17 nominations and in 1985, their recording Vocalese earned 12 Grammy nominations, securing the group’s status as one of the most important and innovative vocal groups in the history of popular music. The Manhattan Transfer has earned its place as a major staple within the music community continuing to create compelling vocal music that draws audiences of all ages and walks of life. With worldwide sales in the millions, Grammy Awards by the dozen, and as veterans of sold-out world tours, we now welcome The Manhattan Transfer to the Marion Palace Theatre.
