Palace Theatre Big Band and Dance
THIS IS A PAST EVENT

Sunday - May 16, 2010
@ 3:00 p.m.

When asked about the ptBB, Director George Schram replied, “Are you IN THE MOOD to take a SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY? Is your MOOD INDIGO DAY IN & DAY OUT? Then, it’s time to don a STRING OF PEARLS to show off THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT outside in the STARDUST. If you ever feel, like some, that I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO, it’s time to quit JUMPIN’ AT THE WOODSIDE, and go ALL THE WAY to NEW YORK, NEW YORK.” The ptBB is a flavorful group of 11 gifted musicians with multiple decades of experience among them. Together they promote a love for the sounds of the “stuck in the forties—big band—swing era.” They are dedicated to helping the audience relive the fun of dancing and simply remembering the music of Miller, Tommy and Jimmy, Kenton, the Duke, the Count and all the rest. This event will have you up and moving so bring your dancing shoes!
