Director Tina Salamone has cast her first Marion production. When the Steel Magnolias dinner theatre takes the stage in the Pavilion, the following ladies will fill the roles of the six ladies in the cast: Ashley Horton (Annelle), Edye Cook Skidmore (Truvy), Sue Klingbeil (Ouiser), Mary Stoneburner (Miss Clairee), Ann Schertzer (M'Lynn), and Jordan Carlson (Shelby).

Set in Chinquapin, Louisiana in Truvy’s beauty salon, this cast includes the eager new assistant, Annelle; the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy; the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser; an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee; and the local social leader, M’Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby (the prettiest girl in town), is about to marry a “good ole boy.” Filled with hilarious banter, the play involves a twist toward tragedy that has these characters face to face with their mortality. Underlying aspects of strength and love make these ladies truly touching, funny amiable company.
