"At the time, I never could
have imagined that seeing the movie Finian's Rainbow when I was 13 would
lead to a 32 year involvement with community theatre! After being in the
chorus of Finian's Rainbow back in 1969, I was bitten by the "Theatre
Bug"... BIG TIME! Over the years I have played a wide variety of
characters. Everything from Charlie Brown to the man eating plant, Audrey
II, in Little Shop of Horrors. Until now, my favorite role has always
been that of the Courier in 1776, which I did for the re-opening of the
Palace in 1976. But now, with Oliver!, I finally get the chance to portray
something I've always wanted to in theatre... a villain! And what a way
to have a dream come true - by getting to become Bill Sykes... one of
the biggest, baddest villains ever created! When I'm not smacking my girlfriend
around and harrassing small children as Bill, I can be found selling lawn
tractors at Sears. In my spare time, I like to read, draw... and crochet!
(I know, I know! But it's a great stress reliever... especially for Bill!)
Enjoy the show!
