Palace Theatre of Marion, Ohio
The Palace is a historic 1400 seat theater-style venue located in downtown Marion, Ohio. Because of the design of the theater, extreme sound pressure levels from the stage are unnecessary and can present a challenge to the front of house engineer. Its relatively small size produces the following general spl variations:
- Loudspeaker coverage = (+ -)2dB
- Stage to Farthest Seat = (-)12dB
All of the listed equipment is owned and maintained by The Palace, and is in place and working at the venue. This equipment has been assembled to meet the production needs of both professional touring acts and the various pageants and shows hosted by the venue. While opinions on brand names vary greatly from artist to artist, we are confident in the ability of this equipment to meet your needs at The Palace.
Monitor System
- Midas M32 Live
- 12 Stage Wedges, 15″LF + HF Horn, proven design (Community)
- 5 Turbosound TFX152MAN 1100W 15″ 2-way Active Stage Monitors
- 8 Channels power amplification, sufficient to drive all 12 monitors to rated output without distortion (QSC amp)
- 8 31 band graphic equalizers, inserted into monitor master busses (DOD)
Front of House System
- Yamaha QL5 console. 32 I/O on console with one RIO 1608-D mounted at the FOH position making 48 total inputs. 16 outputs on console with 8 more on the stage rack with 3 outputs set for LCR configuration.
- FOH Right line array cluster consists of 10 Adamson IS7 Speakers
- FOH Left line array cluster consists of 10 Adamson IS7 Speakers
- FOH Center line array cluster consists of 10 Adamson IS7 speakers
- 2 Adamson IS219 Dual 19″ Subwoofers on the floor. One on each side of the theater directly below the Left and Right arrays.
- Under Balcony consists of 8 Adamson Point 8P 8″ 2 way speakers
- Front Fill consists of 5 Community CPL27-BT Speakers
- All FOH is run off of Lab.gruppen Amps with Lake LM44 processors

Stage Hands, Loading and Unloading
- Palace Techinical Director is required to be present for each production at $35.00/hour
- Additional stage hands at $15.00/hour (require one month notice to secure help)
- Loading Dock – West side of the Theatre has a roll up door to get into the Loading Dock. Will need either a ramp or lift gate to unload from a truck. 6’ 6″ x 6’ 7″ doorway onto the stage. It is a straight path from the loading dock to the stage with no stairs.
