Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte.  Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, 
She weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever.  This treasured tale explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.

Fish Face, part of the Kids of the Polk Street School series by two-time 
Newbery Honor-winning author Patricia Reilly Giff, is coming to the stage 
as an ArtsPower musical. Emily Arrow does plenty of things well with the 
help of Uni – her toy unicorn – to bring her good luck. But when Dawn Bosco 
appears, everything changes. Worst of all, Emily discovers that Dawn has 
stolen her unicorn! Will anyone believe Emily if she reveals Dawn’s 
terrible secret? In her efforts to understand why Dawn stole from her, 
Emily learns a few things about honesty and growing up. 
Addressing serious issues with a winningly light touch, 
this story sparkles with lively wit.

The Palace Theatre is pleased to present this special School Matinee 
to all fifth grade students. The Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra offers 
educational programs, which receive broad community support. 
These talented musicians will present an age-appropriate concert that 
is sure to be a stirring experience, promoting musical education 
and a lifelong love of music. The talent and dedication of the 
Central Ohio Symphony’s musicians will be an inspiration 
to aspiring musicians and to the audience at large.  

There is no charge for admission thanks to our grant from the Gannett Foundation.
This is a special event for 5th Grade Students only. 

 

Admission is $3.50 per student and chaperone unless otherwise noted
Teachers are free of charge
