Classes & Camps
FOR THE YOUNG: ages 6 to 14 years
July 24-July 28, 2017 & July 31-August 4, 2017
SET THE STAGE 2.0 Theatre Camp is back and we’re building on years of successful summer camps but adding a new twist. This year we’re expanding the arts camp opportunity to an all day, all week experience for all campers ages 6 to 14 years! They’ll kick off each day with exciting group work as they tackle a full Broadway musical song selection, complete with vocal instruction and choreography that will get the students’ fully engaged from the first beat. By week’s end, this show stopping number will become the big closer for their Friday evening performance.
Mid-day will afford camp goers the opportunity to enjoy their brown bag lunches brought from home. Mid afternoon, the Palace will provide a snack to keep campers at full steam for their closing session, the second opportunity for full group work of the day, where they’ll “STOMP” their way through what will become a prize-winning opening number for their show.
Friday afternoon includes pizza for the campers to refuel before the final performance!
Add age related break-out sessions in commercial writing, casting, and recording; vocal work in group, ensemble, and solo settings; and acting sessions that focus on theatre games, skits, monologues, and improv; and you have one outstanding week of performance arts activity.
This 7 hour a day, 5 day camp is packed from start to finish with lessons geared at linking the thrill of performance with the instruction needed to grow your camper’s passion and skills – and it’s all in a fun-filled camp setting. Don’t miss this opportunity to introduce your budding actor to the stage or to expose your already aspiring actress to an even deeper theatre experience. Sign up today. Camps fill quickly. All ages meet daily Mon-Fri from 9:30am to 4:30pm with a final performance on Friday at 5:00pm. Camp Fee All Ages $165*
*PCAA Members are offered a 15% discount for each camp. Siblings enrolled in the same camp qualify for a 10% discount each.
