Julia Vanderhoff

Sister Mary Regina

Mother Superior

Julia is beyond grateful to be reenacting the role of Mother Superior and would like to thank Mark and his fabulous team for allowing her to take part in this “Superior “ journey.  She loves her “Sisters” from the bottom of her cross.

Julia has directed 30 musicals at River Valley High School (recently retired) and loves to putter in her yard, very small garden, and craft (crap) room. Julia is the current Director of the Carillon-Aires Bell Choir (30+ years) and works part time at Buckeye Community School.  She is married to husband, “Honey” (others call him Gary).  She has two wonderful sons, Justin and Kyle, beautiful daughter-in-law, Lucy and the beloved family pet, Cooper.  Julia loves to spend time with her granddaughter, Emersyn, and grandsons, Fletcher and Warren.

She is probably best known for her role as Sassy the belligerent elf in the yearly production of Christmas at the Palace

Leah Menzie

Sister Mary Hubert

Mistress of the Novices

Leah Menzie is thrilled to return to the Palace stage playing the role of Hubert. A fun fact is she originally played the role of Sister Leo in the original Nunsense back in 2015 and was cast to play Hubert back in 2020 before the show closed. She is excited for Marion to finally see Nunsense 2! She has performed in many shows throughout the years, and some of her most memorable moments are Marion Cunningham (Happy Days), Mrs. Paroo (Music Man), and Katie the Irish Maid (Meet Me in St Louis).

When Leah is not on the Palace stage, you can find her in her other roles as Worship and Media Pastor at CenterPoint Church and owner of Journey Photography. Her favorite thing to do outside of work is spending time with her husband, Greg, and sons, Zane and Quinn. She also enjoys getting to hang out with their girlfriends Jasmine and Charlee. Nothing is better than when everyone is together, laughing, and making memories.

She would like to thank Mark for the opportunity to bring Sister Hubert to life and get a second chance to perform this show. She wants to extend a huge shoutout to God, her entire family, and all her friends for their endless support and encouragement throughout this process.

Morgan Schwartz

Sister Robert Anne

Morgan is beyond thrilled to step into the role of Sister Robert Anne—a role five years in the making! Bringing this character to life has been a true joy.

Audiences may recognize her from some of her favorite past roles, including Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Maureen in Rent, and Diana in Next to Normal. Most recently, she made her directorial debut with The Girl with the Golden Locks, an incredibly rewarding experience that deepened her love for theatre from a new perspective.

Sharing the stage with this talented and hardworking cast has made Nunsense a holy rollercoaster of laughs, music, and joy from start to finish. Morgan is especially grateful to her family—husband Caleb, daughter Nora (8), and son Oliver (11)—for their endless love and support as she continues to pursue her passion for the stage.

Kali Creasap

Sister Mary Paul, aka Amnesia

Kali is a Preschool Teacher for Marion City Schools, where she nurtures young minds every day. After a 15-year hiatus, she returned to the stage last summer in the musical Rent and is excited to be back for this production of Nunsense, where she will be portraying the character of Sister Amnesia.

In her downtime, Kali is planning her upcoming wedding or snuggling with her dog, Dolly. She credits her mother for encouraging her to try out, and is incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from her fiancé, Troy, and all her friends and family. With a passion for both teaching and theatre, Kali is thrilled to bring her energy, talent, and enthusiasm to this fun-filled show. To my fellow cast members, “Break an egg!”

Sami-Kay Mergy

Sister Mary Leo

Sister Mary Annette

Sami-Kay is thrilled to be playing Sister Mary Leo, the novice nun, in Nunsense. She would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to the incredible crew for their dedication and hard work in bringing this show to life. A special thank you to the talented cast, who are not just friends, but true sisters. Sami-Kay is deeply grateful to her family for their unwavering support and love.

Recently, she had the pleasure of playing Scuttle in The Little Mermaid (2024) and has appeared in numerous Palace productions, including Christmas at the Palace and many others. She is also a proud cast member of Rogue Theatrics in Marion. Sami-Kay is excited to continue sharing the stage with such a passionate group of artists.
