Updated: Mar 5

Are you passionate about the arts and looking for a way to give back to your community? The Marion Palace Theatre invites you to join us for our upcoming Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 31st at 11:00 am. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about how you can become a vital part of our theatre family and support our mission to foster appreciation, education, and participation in the arts while preserving and promoting the historic Palace Theatre.

Orientation Details

Date and Time: Saturday, May 31st at 11:00 AM

Location: Marion Palace Theatre

Led By: Morgan Schwartz, Palace Volunteer Coordinator

During this informative session, Morgan will introduce potential volunteers to the many opportunities available at the theatre. The orientation will last approximately one hour and will cover important topics, including the dress code, volunteer procedures, and how to sign up for various roles.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome individuals ages 16+—from high school students to adults—who wish to contribute their time and talents to our theatre. This orientation is a great chance to learn how you can make a difference in our community while having fun!

Volunteer Opportunities Available

There are numerous positions available for those interested in volunteering at the Palace. Some of the roles include:

- Movie ticket sales

- Ticket taker

- Greeter

- Concession Cashier

- Performance usher

- Movie projectionist

- Concession stand worker

- Hospitality associate

Additionally, there are opportunities to assist off-site by delivering marketing materials or helping backstage as part of the show crew.

The Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering at the Marion Palace Theatre is a rewarding experience that benefits both the theatre and the volunteers. Many area high schools require community service hours for graduation, and being involved in the arts can enhance college and job applications. Moreover, volunteering provides an excellent opportunity to network, meet new friends, and enjoy fabulous shows at the theatre as a bonus!

Future Opportunities

If you can't make it to this orientation, don’t worry! We will host future orientations at least once per quarter, ensuring everyone who wants to be part of the Palace has the opportunity to serve.

How to Register

Ready to join us? Please reserve your spot for the orientation by contacting Morgan Schwartz at volunteers@marionpalace.org or by calling the theatre at 740-383-2101. You can also sign up directly using this link.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Marion Palace Theatre and sharing this enriching
